Terms of Service

Last updated: October 28, 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Snaploom, the website at snaploom.net, the camera pages, galleries and dashboard served from it, and any related services we provide (together, the “Service”). Snaploom is created and run by Siddhartha Dwivedi in Lalitpur, Bagmati, Nepal (“Snaploom,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and Snaploom. By creating an account, or by using a camera page or gallery, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms.

2. Definitions

  • “Creator” means a person or organisation with a Snaploom account who sets up camera pages.
  • “Guest” means anyone who opens a creator's camera page or gallery, usually from a link or QR code, without needing an account.
  • “Camera page” means a branded page at snaploom.net/your-page where guests take polaroid-style photos.
  • “Photos” means the images guests or creators capture and upload through a camera page.
  • “Plan” means the free plan or a paid plan (such as an Event pass, Pro or Organisation) that sets a creator's pages, storage and features.
  • “Your Content” means everything you add to the Service: Photos, page names, logos, colours, fonts, captions and other settings.

3. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Service you also agree to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of these Terms. If you use Snaploom on behalf of a company, school or other organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms for it, and “you” includes that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

4. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms as Snaploom changes. The date at the top shows the current version. For a material change we will tell creators by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the new Terms; if you do not, you can stop using it and delete your account. A change never alters the price or length of a plan you have already paid for.

5. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to create a creator account. Guests of any age may use a camera page that a creator has shared with them; a creator who invites guests under 18 (for example at a school event) is responsible for having any consent from parents or guardians that the event requires.

6. Service Description

Snaploom is a browser-based event camera. A creator sets up a camera page with their own name, theme, colours, fonts and logo, and shares it as a link or QR code. Guests open it on their own phones, with no app and no account, and take polaroid-style photos. A photo stays on the guest's phone until they choose to upload it; uploaded photos land in the creator's gallery, where the creator can review, download, share or delete them. Creators can also publish a gallery, embed it on their own site, close captures after an event and approve photos before they show.

Which features, how many camera pages and how much storage you get depends on your plan. We describe each plan on the Service when you choose it.

7. Plans and Payment

The free plan costs nothing and needs no card. Paid plans are prepaid for a fixed period (for example an Event pass, or a number of months of Pro or Organisation):

  • You pay once, up front, for the period you choose. Plans never renew or charge you automatically.
  • Prices are shown before you pay, in US dollars by card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay, or in Nepali rupees by digital wallet, bank QR or bank transfer. Prices include any discount that applies and may exclude fees your bank or payment app charges.
  • US dollar payments are processed by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for those orders: Paddle sells the plan to you, charges any sales tax or VAT due where you live, and appears on your card statement. Paddle's Buyer Terms also apply to those orders.
  • Card payments activate the plan once the payment processor confirms them. For QR and bank payments you submit the transaction reference; we check it and activate the plan, normally within one business day. A reference we cannot match to a payment is declined.
  • When a plan ends you return to the free plan. Your photos are kept (see section 15), but you cannot add more than the free plan allows until you buy another plan.
  • We may change prices for future purchases. A price change never affects a plan you have already paid for.
  • We may refuse or cancel an order, and refund it in full, if we believe it is fraudulent or mistaken.

Paid plans may be marked “coming soon” on the Service while we prepare them; until they open, nothing can be bought.

8. Trials, Discounts and Referrals

Trials. We may give some creators a free trial of a paid plan. A trial ends on its date without charging you; you move back to the free plan unless you buy one.

Sales. We may take a percentage off some or all plans for a limited time, with no code needed. A sale applies only to payments made while it runs and does not change the price of a plan already paid for.

Discount codes. A code has no cash value and cannot be sold or transferred unless we say so. Only one code applies to each payment. A code may be limited to certain plans, lengths, dates, numbers of uses or first-time buyers, and we may end a code at any time without affecting plans already bought with it.

Refer a friend. When referrals are offered, a friend who signs up through your invite link gets a discount on their first plan, and you get a reward once their first payment is confirmed. Rewards are plan credit or extra storage, never cash, and may expire. Referring yourself, for example through a second account, is not allowed.

If a discount, code or referral is used in a way that breaks these Terms, for example through multiple accounts, we may cancel the discount, the reward or the plan it was used on. We may change or end any of these offers at any time.

9. Refunds

You can get a full refund of a monthly, yearly or Organisation plan from its receipt in your dashboard within 14 days of paying, as long as the plan has barely been used: no more than 20 guest photos captured since it started, nothing stored or created beyond the free plan's limits, and no other refund in the previous 12 months. The plan ends as soon as the refund is approved, and we send the money back the way you paid within 5 business days. The full rules, and how to ask, are in our Refund Policy.

Event passes and trials are not refundable, because they are bought for a single event that may already have happened. Outside these terms we may still refund at our discretion, for example if a problem on our side stopped you using what you paid for, and always where the law requires it.

10. Service Availability and Support

We work to keep Snaploom running at all times, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. It depends on browsers, phone cameras, networks and service providers outside our control. We may pause parts of the Service for maintenance, upgrades or security, and will try to avoid doing so during scheduled events where we can.

Because events are one-off, we recommend testing your camera page on the phones and network you expect before the day. Support is by email at support@snaploom.net; we aim to reply within one working day.

11. User Accounts

  • You can sign up with an email address and password (confirmed by a code we email you) or with Google. An account that is never confirmed is removed after 24 hours.
  • Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account; tell us at once at support@snaploom.net if you think someone else has access.
  • Give us accurate details, including a working email address, and keep them up to date.
  • Your camera page address (its slug) must not impersonate someone else or be offensive. We may change or reclaim a slug that does, or one that is reserved or squatted.
  • One person may hold one account, unless we agree otherwise.

12. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Snaploom, or let your guests use your camera page, to:

  • capture, upload or share anything illegal, sexually explicit, violent, hateful, harassing or defamatory, or any image of a child that is sexual or exploitative;
  • photograph people in places or ways where they have not agreed to be photographed or would reasonably expect privacy;
  • infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights;
  • impersonate a person, brand or organisation, or set up a camera page that pretends to be one you do not represent;
  • send spam or collect guests' or other users' information without their consent;
  • probe, scan or attack the Service, get around its limits or security, or access another creator's pages, galleries or data;
  • scrape the Service, or use bots or scripts to create accounts, upload photos or place load on it, except through the gallery embed and links we provide; or
  • copy, resell or rebuild the Service, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.

We may remove content, pause a camera page, or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and report illegal content to the authorities.

13. Your Content and Guest Photos

You keep ownership. Photos and other Your Content belong to whoever owns them: the guest who took a photo, the creator who added a logo, and so on. Snaploom claims no ownership of them.

The licence you give us. You give Snaploom a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, copy, resize, render and display Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you: for example, to turn a capture into a polaroid card, keep it in a gallery, show it on a published gallery or embed, or send it to a webhook you set up. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies in backups, which are removed on their normal cycle. We do not use your photos to advertise Snaploom or train AI models without your permission.

Guests. When a guest uploads a photo on a camera page, it is sent to that page's creator, who can view, download, share and delete it. The guest grants the creator permission to keep and use the photo for their event, and grants Snaploom the licence above. A guest who wants a photo removed should ask the creator first, or contact us at support@snaploom.net.

Creators' responsibilities. As a creator you decide who receives your camera page link and what happens to the photos. You are responsible for telling your guests how their photos will be used, for having any permission the law requires to share or publish them (for example on a public gallery, in marketing, or of children), and for reviewing photos if you turn on moderation. Snaploom does not review photos before they reach you.

Your warranty. You confirm that you have the rights to Your Content and that it, and our use of it under these Terms, does not break the law or anyone's rights.

14. Data Security and Privacy

How we collect and use personal information, about creators and guests, is explained in our Privacy Policy. We protect data with encryption in transit, access controls that keep each creator's pages and photos separate, and rate limits on uploads. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your own copies of photos that matter to you. We use service providers that may store or process data outside Nepal, including in the United States and the European Union.

15. Photo Storage and Retention

  • Photos are stored for as long as your account exists, within your plan's storage. When storage is full, guests cannot upload more until you free space or upgrade.
  • When a monthly, yearly or Organisation plan ends, your photos are kept; you just return to the free plan's limits for new ones.
  • Event pass photos taken while an Event pass is active are kept, and can be viewed and downloaded, while your account has any paid plan and for 90 days after your last plan ends. After that they are removed for good. We email you 14 days and 3 days before, and the removal date is never less than 14 days after the first of those emails. Buying any plan before then keeps them for as long as that plan lasts, and the 90 days start again when it ends. Photos taken on the free plan are not affected.
  • Creators can delete photos at any time from the gallery; deleting your account deletes all your pages and photos (see section 27).

16. Intellectual Property

Snaploom's software, design, camera themes, polaroid frames, illustrations, text, name and logo belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service as these Terms allow. Photos rendered with our frames and themes are yours to keep, print and share, including for your event or business. Nothing else in the Service may be copied, sold or reused without our written permission.

17. Feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback about Snaploom, we may use them to improve the Service without any obligation or payment to you. We will not publish your name with it without asking.

18. Third-Party Services

Snaploom relies on, and links to, services run by others, such as sign-in and payment providers, banks, and the websites or webhook endpoints you connect. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for their content, availability or actions.

19. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL WORK ON EVERY DEVICE, BROWSER OR NETWORK, THAT IT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT PHOTOS WILL NEVER BE LOST. Snaploom does not control what is photographed or how creators and guests use photos.

20. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, SNAPLOOM WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE.

Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) USD 100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

21. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Snaploom and the people who run it from any claims, losses, damages and costs (including reasonable legal fees) brought by a third party and arising from Your Content, the camera pages you run and the photos you collect or publish, your breach of these Terms, or your breach of anyone's rights. We will tell you about any such claim and may choose to take control of its defence, in which case you agree to cooperate.

22. Governing Law

These Terms, and any dispute about them or the Service, are governed by the laws of Nepal. If you use Snaploom as a consumer, you also keep any protection the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in give you.

23. Dispute Resolution

If you have a problem, please email us at support@snaploom.net first; most issues can be solved quickly that way. If a dispute is not resolved within 30 days, either of us may take it to the courts of Nepal, which will have jurisdiction, without affecting a consumer's right to bring a claim in the courts where they live.

24. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy and the plan details shown when you pay, are the entire agreement between you and Snaploom about the Service, and replace any earlier agreements about it.

25. Waiver and Severability

If we do not enforce a part of these Terms, that is not a waiver of our right to do so later. If a court finds any part of these Terms invalid or unenforceable, that part is changed as little as needed to make it enforceable, and the rest stays in effect.

26. Assignment

You may not transfer your account or your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer them, for example if Snaploom is sold or reorganised, and will tell you if we do; your rights under these Terms stay the same.

27. Termination

By you. You can stop using Snaploom at any time and delete your account from the dashboard. Deleting it removes your profile, camera pages, galleries and photos, and cannot be undone, so download anything you want to keep first. Deleting an account does not refund a plan, except as section 9 allows.

By us. We may suspend or close an account, or pause a camera page, if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect guests, other users or the Service. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to download your photos. If we close an account without a breach on your part, we will refund the unused part of any paid plan. If we ever shut Snaploom down, we will give creators at least 30 days' notice to download their photos.

An account closed for breaking these Terms may not be re-created under another name or email address.

28. Survival

Sections that by their nature should continue after these Terms end, including ownership of content, refunds already due, the disclaimer, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law and dispute resolution, continue to apply.

29. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for any delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, power or internet outages, failures of hosting or payment providers, strikes, war, government action or pandemics.

30. No Third-Party Beneficiaries

These Terms are between you and Snaploom. They do not give anyone else rights to enforce them, except that guests may rely on the sections about their photos.
